What is student transport?

Student transport is transport for pupils who cannot travel to school independently. For the municipalities of Zeeland and Goeree-Overflakkee, Reizen door Zeeland (RdZ) organises transport to and from school. RdZ takes care of route planning and works together with regular transport providers to transport pupils safely and comfortably. Clear communication, safety and reliability are central.

As a parent or carer, you can easily view trip information via the parent portal and the app, report sickness or recovery, and get in touch with questions or changes. We also keep parents informed about route changes, replacement drivers and any incidents.

What do we expect from parents and carers?

To ensure that transport for all pupils runs safely and pleasantly, we ask parents and carers to take a number of agreements into account:

  • Report sickness, cancellations and changes as early as possible via the parent portal, the app or by phone.
  • Make sure the child is ready at the pick-up point at least 5 minutes before departure.
  • Report changes to transport no later than one working day in advance, before 15.00.
  • Discuss the agreements during the trip with the child, such as remaining seated calmly and wearing a seat belt.
  • Make sure your contact details are always up to date, so that you can be reached in case of changes or incidents.

Together we ensure that pupils travel safely, pleasantly and on time to and from school.
